| Casa Mary Ann is set in 5,000 square metres of land in the area of Javea known as Benimadroc. The imposing Mount Montgo forms a magnificent backdrop to the villa with the scenic Montgo natural park nearby. Javea Old Town is around 3.5km away and the popular Arenal beach area is around a fifteen minute drive from the villa, with the port a little closer. There are bars and restaurants within walking distance in the Montgo Valley and the nearest golf course is just a five minute drive away towards Denia.
Javea (also known as Xabia) is a lovely coastal town sandwiched between the capes of San Antonio and La Nao, midway between the Spanish cities of Alicante and Valencia. Easily accessible via motorway from the airports of both cities, the area is renowned for its warm summers and mild winters and attracts holidaymakers throughout the year. Frequented by smugglers and pirates during the Middles Ages, the caves and bays along the coast are now popular with snorkellers, sunbathers and scuba divers. Granadella and La Barraca are particularly popular with snorkellers and have beach bar facilities.
The Montgo natural park is a paradise for those who enjoy walking or exploring. The region has a rugged beauty and varied terrain ranging from rocky crags to lush Mediterranean greenery. You can climb to the summit of Montgo at 753m or simply wander the coastal paths at a more leisurely pace. There are fourteen vantage points around Javea which have been specially prepared and waymarked to enable visitors to enjoy the exceptionally scenic views.
The Arenal area of Javea is around 8km from the villa and has plenty on offer during the summer months. The bay here has a golden sandy beach which slopes gently into the sea and is edged with bars, shops and restaurants and ice cream parlours. There is a wide range of water sports on offer including sailing, fishing and water ski-ing in the port area. The area is very family-friendly and the beach has good facilities including toilets and showers. In the evenings, you can take a stroll along the promenade and watch the street artists performing, buy souvenirs at the craft stalls set up along the seafront or enjoy the live music which fills the air.
The old town has a maze of narrow streets lined with historical townhouses and beautiful squares. There is also an excellent indoor market selling fresh produce including fruit, cheeses and locally caught fish. There are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants here, not to mention the traditional tapas bars and art galleries – a great place to explore during the heat of the afternoon.
The nearest golf course is La Sella which is an 18-hole, par 72 course with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and pinewoods. It also has a putting green, driving range, restaurants and a sauna. For families with young children, Benidorm around 50km away, has plenty of fun and entertainment on offer at the Mundomar marine and exotic animal park and the Aqualandia water park. Benidorm is also home to the Terra Mitica theme park where you can try the renowned Tizona roller coaster which reaches speeds of 100km/hour.

This floor has internal and external wheelchair access with ramps and a wheelchair accessible shower room. The fifth bedroom and an en suite bathroom are on the first floor. On the lower ground floor is a self-contained one-bedroom apartment with independent access.
